Intercession- Part-1

Who is an Intecessor?
"Inter cessor"
Inter= middle
Cessor= never ceasing.

All are called to pray for one another but few are given the burden to pray never ceasing till the prayer is answered.

To be an intercessor, one has to have a desire to know the will of God for them. In order to know that and to learn to recognize the voice of God, spending time with God is very essential. One has to slowly recognize and learn to be like Jesus-to be in the world not off the world.
To be like Jesus-

Temptations are in plenty: everyone likes to be loved, all like to be recognized and appreciated for their works. Working for the Lord or being like Jesus may not bring all that. Take the example of Jesus even though He is the Son of God was he recognized and appreciated while he walked on this earth? Most people did not like Him because He spoke truth and they did not want to face. The easy way out was to put Him to death. Are you prepared to stand for truth which you learn from the Word of God? Are you ready to face criticism because you stand for truth which is rooted in Christ?
The Worldly amusement and entertainment is more and more influenced by the evil one in a very subtle way. In order to discern about it one needs to spend time with the Lord to know what is good and bad what is right and wrong. Floating with the crowd and being accepted by the world may cost your soul. Appreciation of the people will last only for some time till some thing dramatic happens. An experience with the Lord last for many days months sometimes even a life time.
Sitting still before the Lord and recognizing His voice helps in this walk with Christ. Initially it is difficult to recognize his voice but as you spend more time with the Lord you will recognize and learn to distinguish his voice. As you grow in the fellowship appreciation and love for one another slowly grows. When your fellowship with Lord grows the Lord brings to your mind all your hurts and slowly gives you the grace to forgive those who hurt you.(This process takes sometimes years).

Slowly as this fellowship grows one notices detachment from the worldly things. After some time appreciation and acceptance from others does not matter being with the Lord and His presence in you is all that matters.

The Potter begins to give shape to the clay and the clay willing surrenders itself to be shaped according to His will. The Lord then leads the clay and moulds it. One hears His voice leading one to greater heights and burden to pray and dedicate ones life to do His will.

To be continued.....

STAR OF JACOB

Twinkle Twinkle (Jacob’s) STAR
Can you make me as full of love as thou are?
Deep inside my heart which is truly thine
Help me grow as a fruitful branch of thy magnificent vine.

God sent his word and stars appeared in the expanse of the sky to separate the LIGHT from darkness and to serve as Signs to mark the change in seasons, days and years.

God’s word- The STAR of JACOB manifested as flesh on earth to separate

- faith from fear
- hurt from love
- pain from joy and as a
sign of expression of
AGAPE LOVE
the heavenly father has for his children.

The truly wise magi knew the signs of the time well. They had probably been studying and scanning the skies for a long time looking for the sign. The presence of an unusual star in the vastness of the sky meant the accomplishment of the fourth oracle by Balaam

I see him but not now
I behold him but not near
A star will come out of Jacob
A Scepter will rise out of Israel.

How then could they not venerate that sign which would mark a change in human transgression on earth? They set forth on their voyage with the Star as a guide to receive the light. They knew meeting the star of Jacob; the word of God meant having the experience of being one with the loving Father.

Whoever comes to the father through the love of Christ cannot return the way they came, just like the magi couldn’t.

The reverence of the WORD filled them so totally with love that in their hearts they would surrender all the knowledge they had gained in studying the stars at the feet of maker of the stars to worship him.

How can then one go back filled with darkness of ignorance, fear, anger, pain, revenge, hate, helplessness, pride.

The Magi went back as vessels of light spreading the splendor of the creator. .

Creation Of Light- An Enduring Process

"Let there be LIGHT" and LIGHT transcended into all the painful alcoves of darkness with its energetic life force, vitality and vivacity. The Essence of LIGHT is to radiate its luminosity as far as possible. LIGHT was produced not just for its ability to illuminate but to beam out all the treasures that convoy with it. The strength of LIGHT lies in its binding to a lethal arson called AGAPE LOVE.

Just as a child is fashioned from love and pain, similarly the union of darkness and light culminates into a day. This kiss of the opposite happens everyday revealing how securely the maker is in charge of the soil he breathes existence into. The maker’s LIGHT and its lethal and life-giving companion called AGAPE LOVE have a tendency to spread in places inconceivable to the human mind. We do not see the marvel of this union or the constant working of the maker to enable us to receive more of his radiance.

AGAPE LOVE with its penetrating glow evokes in the garden of the soul of every person a craving for deep connection with the possessor of LIGHT. The kind maker of LIGHT never rests so how could his created light have a respite.

The daily touch of the father on his creation through LIGHT which bulges with serenity, peace and wholeness leads to another compelling facet of LIGHT called PATIENCE. The streams of LIGHT continuously cascade from the divine heart of the father into our sedated souls yet we as vessels think that the creation of LIGHT is complete.

The father maker in his abiding LOVE is constantly creating to lead his created beings back to him. The PATIENCE- LIGHT aspect of the father is emanated in the fact that every evening is followed with a morning for all of his creation irrespective whether the entire gamut of creation reciprocates the FATHER’S LOVE. Just like the father his LIGHT, LOVE and PATIENCE is constantly active, never passive. The LIGHT of the father is constantly sent forth. The LOVE of the father is persistently felt and the PATIENCE of the father is constantly experienced. A part of the process of patience is to have FAITH in the father. This makes me realize that the bright mornings I open my eyes to, is the work of my heavenly father for me everyday. He watches over me when I am in darkness and waits for me to hold his outstretched hand to walk with me the whole day. During the course of the day, I often let go of his firm grip and choose to walk with the darkness of anger, discouragement, fear, pride, etc. Then I try to cover myself with work or excuses to extend out and hold the hands of my father. It’s again my father who walks to me, to talk to me, knowing well how much in darkness I am in and how ashamed I am of myself. Even though I want to remain in darkness the father waits outside the closed doors, knocking waiting with his light to enter the dark dungeons of my heart filling every part with his AGAPE. The creation of Light is a constant source of AGAPE for all of mankind.

Agape Series

AGAPE- THE FATHER'S LOVE!

"Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone?
Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent?
If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!"
Matt 7:9-11
