Inner Healing - My Potter's hands

As I gaze into your Holiness....... As I look into your loveliness..........

As I continue gazing into the light that surrounds my Lord...... I sense the peace that comes from knowing him....... My heart feels full of his light...... and his light increases.......... love emerges.............. I feel full of his presence.........I bask in his presence...... there is nothing more relishing than being with my Jesus..........Everytime I spend time with My Lord........I savour his presence more and more.....the joy of being with My Lord increases the zest in me.........I thank you Lord for being with me and helping me to look with your eyes into those dark recesses of my being..... thank you for helping me to dissolve my fears..... my anger...... my hurt.......my negative state of mind........all my wrong beliefs.................... I feel confident to now renew my mind with your truths........the knowledge of your kingdom........ and your will helps me to walk further into areas of my life which need the showers of your presence............

Gazing into the eyes of my Saviour and holding his hands I now walk in his light to the area of my life when I am about to move from my mother's womb into the world.........

Maybe I was premature child/or my mother's body was not able to contain me and opened up...or I was underweight or a big baby...........maybe I felt so so safe..........that I didnt want to leave my mother's body....... or maybe my mother did not experience any pain and had to be given medicine for inducing labour.......or my mother's fear of childbirth tightened her cervix and hence I was trapped...... Maybe I was sucked out through a vaccum.......or I passed urine/ feces in the womb in fear.........or my mother went through a prolonged labour.......maybe she was tired........or all alone and my father could not be there with her........or maybe there was a threat to her life........ or the doctors had to do a c-section to help deliver me........ or I was in a breech position........perhaps the doctors who handled me were not gentle........ the sudden brightness in the room could have hurt my eyes...and shocked me.....or there was too much noise....maybe I did not cry immediately and so was handled harshly .........maybe my mother was too tired........ or  no one was around to feed me when I was hungry......
All these feelings of abandonment, rejection that have been stored up inside of me, I now choose to release and set myself free........ I see with the eyes of faith My Lord- The Potter of my life standing with me all the while and holding me in his arms....... Take me Lord, mold me Lord, use me Lord, fill me Lord..... I give  my life into my Potter's hand.......

Inner Healing:- My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth.

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

May showers and showers of love and peace and joy descend upon you........

We have read about the creation of the world in Genesis, the last weekend was on ours.....
We would continue to pray for the time we spent in the sacred place of our creation this weekend as well.
The beautiful time we were breathed and watched over by the Lord himself into our mother's womb.
Once again there is a script as a guide, which can be changed or added according to what is impressed on your heart by the Holy Spirit.
Praying for another person would mean substituting the I for someone else's name.

Once again, I encourage you to persevere in prayer all throughout the week and the weekend. If there is a specific area you would like us to pray as a team, kindly get back to us. We will include it in as well.

Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble, and he delivered them from their distress.                                     He made the storm be still, and the waves of the sea were hushed. Then they were glad that the waters were quiet and he brought them to their desired haven.

May you have a spirit filled healing.

Night Vigil:- Inner Healing for Self - womb

Heal me, O LORD, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved: for you are my praise.

I grow silent, knowing that the Lord is going to be in my midst. Today once again I want to hold your hand Lord and go to that stage when I am still being Knit in my mother's womb. I walk with his Staff and Rod holding it aloft to clear the darkness of my mind. I walk knowing without turning around that the Spirit of the Lord envelops me. I walk in the purity of his light and Love...... I walk towards my experience in my womb...... I walk to see me sitting inside the sacred place of my creation- My mother's womb. I walk in the guidance of his presence knowing that I am going to set myself free from all that was unknowingly transferred to me by my mother.

My mother was probably not prepared to have a child......... or she felt very sick after conceiving me..... or she may have had fears about her pregnancy........ or the doctors said she was going to have a high risk pregnancy/ complications......... or she may have already had my brother/sister and wanted a boy/girl........
She may have had many fears since this was her first pregnancy.... or she may have miscarried/aborted earlier...... or the doctors may have said its going to be a difficult pregnancy....and suggested termination of the pregnancy..... or she may have attempted to abort me...... or she was anxious constantly about  how she was going to taking care of me....... maybe my father lost his job....... or was into gambling.......and my mother had to work to bear the financial burden of the house.........Maybe my father was working long shifts and my mother was alone at home........  Maybe there was a death in the family.....and my mother was numb with shock......Maybe there were constant fights between my parents....and my mother wanted to end her life.......Maybe my father was  abusive (physical, emotional, verbal).....and had violent outbursts of anger... or he was very dominating....... or was chasing drugs/ alcohol....... Maybe there was not much food for my mother to eat...... or she was not given food......... or she felt like eating very spicy food............ Maybe she was not strong physically to carry me full term and needed bed rest and constant medical attention........ All of these emotions of fears, worries, concerns, frustrations, anguish......... were felt by me even though I was still very very small.......

Inner healing - For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb.

Dear Brothers and Sisters,
May the Good Lord shower his peace and blessings on all  in abundance!!!!!
After the wonderful vigil that we had last weekend, it was felt that we now need to explore the most important area of our life which we often have very little or no memories about.
The time we were breathed into our mother's womb.... the moment of our conception........

There is a script for those who were confused or not clear on how to go about with the process. You could refer to that script or make up your own. The script is titled for self, all you have to do is substitute I for someone else's name to pray for a healing for the other person.

When I was asked why do we need to pray for another person, well the LORD himself in John 15:17 commands us to love one another and the greatest gift or love we can give another person whom we do not know or have never met is the gift of prayer especially of healing.

James 5: 16
Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you maybe healed. The Prayer of a Righteous person has great power as it is working.
Once again, continue persevering in prayer even after the weekend is over. If while praying for someone the Holy Ghost touches you/ reveals anything to you, kindly share it as your feedback.

Inner Healing - Prayer for self

As I still the wheels of my thoughts, I now put all my attention on spending this time with the Lord. This time with the Lord is very important because I am going to open myself up to him like I have never done with any body in my life.
I know my Lord knows everything and has been knocking on the door all the time. I now choose to open the door and let him enter my heart, mind and soul. Every part of me welcomes him............
He enters with his light. I can feel...... as though I am being flooded with light.............

I sing "Pour out your Spirit, Pour out your Spirit on me. Pour out your spirit, Pour out your spirit on me. Spirit move in your temple...... Spirit move in my life.......Spirit move..... I am calling.. Spirit heal........I am asking. Spirit fill me with your love........ I need you....... Pour out your healing, Pour out your healing. Pour out your healing on me. I am pleading......

I can feel you all around me Lord.... I can smell your fragrance..... the sweet fragrance of the Lilies of the valley with the morning dew on them fills me.........

I will now walk with you Lord, I will hold onto your rod and staff for comfort.
I now walk with the lord as he leads me to those areas of my life that need his soothing touch. I begin my journey as I feel the power of his love sending me into a house.......... of my earthly parents.
My beginnings on this earth.....

Breath of Life:- Benefits

Then the LORD God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.
GENESIS 2:7
The Image is taken from http://ibibleverses.christianpost.com

The Lord God created a man from the dust of the earth and made that lump of earth alive by his breath!!!!!
What a significant event in the creation of the world and its inhabitants!!!!!

And how much of attention do we pay to this involuntary process that begins with the creator breathing his life into us.

The creator knew how forgetful his created being was going to be and hence thankfully made this process involuntary. Imagine what would happen if he did not make this process involuntary.
I have recently been meditating on this Gift of Breath that was so easily bestowed upon us and have realized how this simple process of In-inhalation also called as Inspiration brings rich benefits if focused upon correctly. It can lead to a transformation from a disturbed or dis-ease state of being to a state of well being always, every minute, every second of our life.

Some well known scientific facts of the process of inspiration (in-halation) and expiration (ex-halation):-

Inspiration begins when we take 'in' air through our nostrils expanding our diaphragm (filling our lungs) as a result our stomach also expands to accommodate the lungs which are filled to its capacity.
Expiration involves the expanded stomach to now push the lungs to expel the toxins in the form of carbon dioxide thereby contracting the space that was expanded.

1) Focused or Diaphragmatic breathing leads to gentle massage of the internal organs especially the liver leading to better functionality of these internal organs.

2) As the lungs are filled to their capacity while breathing, more oxygen is taken in leading to better circulation to various parts of the body especially the heart and brain. This improves clarity of thought and enhances the ability to make decisions.

3) The gentle massage to the internal organs leads to the pancreas regulating the sugar levels.

4) Expulsion of the toxins from the body leads to stimulation of the digestive organs, improved metabolism and thereby a surge in energy.

5) Improves movement due to the availability of the oxygen to help build and repair the muscles and joints mobility.

If this process alone brings to life to all our internal organs then why is it that we are far from experiencing the abundance of life that is intended for us.

TASTE AND SEE HOW GOOD THE LORD'S PEACE CAN BE..................

"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid."
Its been a long time now since the New year that I have been meditating on what the
Saviour meant when he spoke about Peace to the faithful gathered around him.

Why was I struggling to get that Peace. After going through a very painful

experience early this New Year, I have longggggggggggged for that peace.
Why couldn't I get that peace which he gave so freely.

-That peace which St. Paul says surpasses all understanding.

In other words the peace of Christ which holds its reign on all thoughts
and keeps everything else captive during all times.

So, I began my journey in search of peace........ started reading the bible even

more voraciously, meditating on his words even more forcibly and started
praising and singing his name as loudly I could (thankfully within the
confinements of my mind).
Often I would reflect on the episode of Jesus calming the sea and wondered
why he didn't calm the storms which were ravaging in my mind all the time.

Aha and then came the day when he rewarded me......... and rewarded me

richly indeed that his peace has been filling my heart every day since.

I had been sick for a whole week with an upset stomach. So my husband

decided to take me to a local mall for a breath of  fresh air only for us to
be blown over completely (we are still blown over by that experience).
We walked into this huge mall and made our way to this fascinating store
which we visit very often...... sometimes we just browse through the stuff and
deliberate whether we need something and sometimes we pick up something we like.
Everything is sold at a premium price and the board that follows you across
that fantastic store is 'If you accidentally drop anything, you pay for that damaged
 piece as well.
So,  I make sure that i am tagging along my husband and panicking every time his
hand stretches to hold any of the delicate glittering glassware or articles in the
store. I know how powerful the law of gravity(especially in my hands) is and
hence have no questions in my mind to prove its existence.
I kept constantly nagging my husband "Please don't pick up". Please keep it back".
We decided we needed soup spoons and so we picked them up. My husband
had the spoons safely ensconced in his very sturdy hands and was striding
confidently to the counter to ask the manager to bill them for us. I was
striding behind him as confidently as I could and would have reached the
counter within seconds but -
I (Eve) saw this lovely box with cookie cutters inside. I picked up the
forbidden fruit instead of asking for assistance. My husband (Adam) was
not interested in what was glistening in my hand. He asked me to  put it
back and follow him. Since I didn't want to replicate the garden of Eden
experience. I promptly put the article back on the shelf to happily trot
behind my husband.
so much for obedience....... so much for it.  I had barely turned to follow
my husband when lo behold         a thundering crash..... the temptation
that I had got momentarily enticed with ..... had decided to fall!!!!!!!!!!!
Who was the serpent in this frame if you ask me - IT WAS MY OVERSIZE BAG!!!!!

All of a sudden I felt  the ground beneath my feet tremble (rock and roll!).........

a sea of people gathered around me. I lifted my eyes (shock embedded within)
and.................
saw (gulp, gulp) the storm on my husband's face.
(Trivia:- Believe me  my husband has never looked as handsome as he did on that day,)
I could see different colors blending and a dark red tinge spreading all over his face.
I looked down to see two store helps gathering that miserable piece to
ascertain the damage caused by my (OVERSIZE)Bag (the serpent).
People around me whispering (at such times, the internal audio works very
efficiently, otherwise I can be quite deaf)- that piece is very expensive!!!!!!!
they will have to pay for it now!!!!!!.

Inside of me I was crying (sniff) -Where are thou My Lord? I am in the

eye of the storm.............  My boat is sinking...... (boooooooohooooooooo)

In the midst of this tumultuous situation (inside and outside of me).

A sudden infilling of ..............Peace, Serenity!!!!!!
The store helps continued with their scrutiny of the piece and could find
only a small chip on the lid of the box with other things being intact.  They
pointed it out to me and  I reached to take that chipped box in my hand once again,
(My wacky sense of humor surfacing in full blast. My mind was playing with
the idea of setting up a cooking making venture..... Naming the venture:-
Mel the Cookie-Man,,,,,,, Cookies of different sizes were floating in front of my eyes.......)

Suddenly I heard Him.......Yes i heard him whisper.... What did I hear him say-

"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do

not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and
do not be afraid.

I took the chipped piece and asked for the price. I walked to stand next to my
husband, whose face revealed that the Storm in him had not abated (gulp gulp).

At the counter the manager came to bill us for the purchase we had decided

to make and also looked at the fallen piece carefully...... She was still inspecting
the piece when my attention was diverted to the right side of the counter.
Something was glittering there!!!!!!!! I turned to look and saw colored soup spoons!!!!!!
Though I am not a kid but something about color always captures my attention.
I love color in all forms especially the bright colors - pink, blue, red, orange, etc.
all colors! (Now you know why I found my stormy husband so captivating to
 look at...... that day)

As, I reached out to grab the colored soup spoons, the manager watching my

delight struck a conversation with me. "These are break -resistant M'am".
I smiled at her and looked at the ones we had picked up earlier and she smiled
 and said, "Those are not."
My husband who usually deliberates a lot weighing the pros and cons, didn't
take long to weigh anything this time. (He was burning red hot coals inside
you see!!- what color aha!).
Before I could even turn and look at him with inquiring eyes I heard him say,
"We will take the break resistant ones even though they look like the ones kids
 eat their cereals with."
So, I decided I wanted all four spoons in different colors. Unfortunately they had
only three colors in the size we wanted (there was a red soup spoon but it was
very tiny).

Time for the Bill now......

The manager started marking a bill for the purchase we had made. She examined
the chip on the box (the fallen box) and said that it was a small chip and we need
 not pay for it.

I turned to see my stormy red husband and what do I see!!! His color is changing

once again from the lovely dark red to his natural shade of brown.
A song starts playing in my head - "Raindrops are falling on my head... plop plop....
(this is incidentally what plays whenever my Shirley and I are having an intense
discussion on the phone, she will suddenly go on hold and both of us will be hearing-
Raindrops are falling on my head).

The manager goes on to say that people usually fight and refuse to pay and we were

very sweetly agreeing to pay for the piece. She thanks us and we thank her back.
So we walk out of the store with our (colored) break- proof soup spoons and with a
big glow on my husband's face (color change without any facial).

As we are leaving the mall, my husband (who has now come back to his original

self) shares with me that he was wondering all the while what we were going to
do with that chipped box of cookie cutters. I very gleefully start elucidating some
of the wacky ideas that had surfaced in my mind during the time I should have
covered myself in fig leaves........

But from that day I have only been able to count my blessings constantly.

I have not stopped thanking God for my Agape Family who have been with
me in prayer and spirit whenever I have asked for assistance and even when
I have not asked for any assistance. I truly believe its only because each of you
that I am able to be in a state of gratitude today. Thank you each one- Shirley,
Tecy, Tara, Divina,   Elizabeth, Jeevan,Sylvester, Saveen (anybody part of Agape-
in case I have missed out anyone) for being a part of my life.

Even my Husband who has extensively traveled and lived all over the earth says

he has never experienced something as wonderful as this. He said (in his own words)-
"This truly is a Miracle and we have only the Lord to thank for this experience."

P.s:- The next day was Sunday and the Gospel reading was :-

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you

as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

Healing Meditation:- PSALM 23: The Lord is My Shepherd

I take time to prepare myself for this re-treat..... into myself. I sit in silence..... I keep my eyes open and gently allow......the wheels of my thoughts which are running in all directions to slow down.......all memories that are coming to the surface....... I slowly, very very slowly  take my focus off them......... I turn inward........looking into myself..... I create this time and space for meeting with the Lord.
This time is important for me .....because its MY time with my Lord......
If any memory comes or any thought arises during this time of preparation, I gently release my attention from it........... and bring it back to the present.........my breath!

I breathe in and feel the flow of fresh air........into my being..... I follow this breathe which is really the Breathe of life....... .......So, often in my day to day activities I forget that it was the Father God who breathed this life......... into me.
Today, I take this chance to let the breathe flow into all my inward parts........ the parts that were knit by the Father God and made alive with his breath.........

I see him with the eyes of my soul.......... a shepherd..........someone who takes care of me always...... at all times........
I tell my mind, my body and my spirit to be one to receive him completely ........in my consciousness.

Slowly as I breathe in, I say - The Lord
and as I breathe out, I say- Is MY shepherd

As I breathe- The Lord......in,  I feel..... as though I am breathing his presence in my life..... and............ as I breathe out I release his presence to people around me....... people in my life...

I breathe in - his stillness............and I breathe out - his stillness........    As I breathe in everything within me is still
and as I breathe out everything around me is................ also still.....

I breathe in - his love...........and I breathe out - his love....... His love spreads into this world.....

I breathe in - his compassion..... and I breathe out- his compassion..... his compassion envelopes the world......

I breathe in- his understanding...... and I breathe out- his understanding.... his thoughts are reflected on this earth....

I breathe in- his light.......and I breathe out- his light........ his light dispels all darkness.....
As I continue breathing in.....he infuses me with his radiance and it only increases with each breath......

You Lord are the Jewel of my being......a power house of joy.... happiness and bliss.....

The Lord is My Shepherd.............                         the Shepherd of my soul.......

LEAVING, CLEAVING AND BUILDING ANEW

Since long, I have been meditating on this scripture verse and have always felt that it implies more than the literal meaning of just leaving and setting a separate household.  The creation account in genesis chapter one tells us that god created everything progressively. First he created the heavens and the earth, the light and the period of darkness. He divided the waters and also made land. He spoke the plant kingdom, the herbs, flowers, fruits, etc. into existence. He created two lights to guide the people and also to signal the onset of climatic changes. He created the sea animals, birds of the air and animals of the land. And when he saw his creation, the results filled him with a sense of joy and completeness.
Then the Lord God wanted a man to enjoy all that he had created.
27 So God created mankind in his image, in the image of god he created them;   male and female he created them.
28 God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and  over every living creature that moves on the ground.”

Healing and Anointing (Meal that Heals)

The At one ment (The Meal That Heals)

THE REVELATION OF THE AT ONE MENT

Romans 5:11

Not only is this so, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.

The word atonement is mentioned 80 times in the Old Testament.

The New Testament shows us that the death of our lord on the cross was an act of atonement for our sins as patterned by the animal sacrifices in the Old Testament.

The fall and subsequent expulsion from the Garden of Eden a place of delight made sin and sickness a reality for mankind.

Yet the author remarks that Yahweh Rapha (the lord that healeth) establishes a healing covenant with his people right from the beginning. We read about the healing through prayer in Genesis 20:17, Numbers 12:13, 2 kings 20: 5-6 and in the book of Exodus 15:26

He said, "If you listen carefully to the voice of the LORD your God and do what is right in his eyes, if you pay attention to his commands and keep all his decrees, I will not bring on you any of the diseases I brought on the Egyptians, for I am the LORD, who heals you."
This Old Testament covenant of healing continued through the ministry of Christ.

The gospel records the three levels of Christ’s deliverance ministry.

- Miracles of physical healing – Matthew 8:16
- Miracles of casting out evil spirits – Mark 1:34
- Creative miracles – Luke 22:51

Matthew 10:8 clearly depicts the instruction given by Christ to his disciples of healing the sick and expelling the evil spirits. The disciples were able to perform these miracles through the authority of Jesus’ name (Mark 16:17-18)

The author speaks of the various translations of the name Jesus which ultimately leads us to salvation.

The various translations of the name Jesus reveals the purpose of the passion of this Lamb of god.

Jesus (English) IESOUS (Greek) Y’Shuah (Hebrew) meaning Yahweh is salvation.

Soterian is from soteria (swthriva) and belongs to the sozo word group:

verbSozo (swzw)to save, to keep from harm, to preserve, to rescue.”

nounSoter (swthria)Savior, redeemer, deliverer, preserver

adjectiveSoterios (swthr)“delivering, saving, salvation.”

verbDiasozo (diaswzw)to save, to recover, to heal perfectly, to convey safely.” The stem of these words, so (sw) means “whole, fresh, healthy.”

In classical Greek the derivatives from this root can be interpreted to mean
being rescued from serious danger such as war, shipwreck, etc.

being assisted out of a difficult legal situation.

being helped by a physician in a time of illness or

a safe return from a perilous journey.

Liddell and Scott Greek-English Lexicon give us two basic meanings; (of people and things).

people:

“Deliverance, preservation”

“A way of means of safety”

“Safe return”

“Salvation

things:

Keeping safe, preservation”

“Security, guarantee for safety”

“Security, safety”

“Security against”

“Bodily health, well-being”

Thus as Perry puts it Salvation includes redemption for the whole or all Tri parts of a man:

body (Physical),

soul (emotional) and

spirit (spiritual).

It is God’s will that His people praise him from an exuberance of health, wellspring of joy and an inner calmness as a result of constant communion with him.

The author puts across that the scriptures encourage and supports the fact that prayer can cancel even an assignment of death. This is seen in the prolonging of the length of the days by 15 years in the Life of King Hezekiah.

Miriam who is healed from leprosy at the intercession of her brother Moses

Accidents, criminal acts and sickness are three darts the author states which can lead to premature departure.

At the same time the scripture also states the promise of the almighty father in the following words.

With long life will I satisfy him and show him my salvation

THE THREEFOLD ATONEMENT

Perry Stone through the use of various examples unveils the mystery wedged in the prophecy of Isaiah 53:1-10

1Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed?

2For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.

3He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.

4Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.

5But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

6All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.

7He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.

8He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken.

9And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth.

10Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand.

The subject of this great prophecy often called Isaiah’s suffering servant details the redemptive work of Jesus Christ.

The prophecy was fulfilled when

Jesus (the messiah) would not open his mouth as he stood before judgment

When he was stricken for the transgressions of god’s people

When he died with the wicked two thieves

When he was buried in a rich man’s grave

God made his soul a sin offering

The mystery of the threefold redemptive work which is accomplished through the suffering of Christ is revealed as-

Spiritual healing and the forgiveness of sins: But he was wounded for our transgressions he was bruised for our iniquities

Emotional healing for the mind and soul: the chastisement of our peace was upon him;

Physical healing for the body: and with his stripes we are healed.

Spiritual healing transforms the human spirit, emotional healing renews the mind and physical healing brings healing and life to the physical body.

Meal that Heals 2

The second chapter of the book takes you into an understanding of the Yom Kippur or the day of atonement. Doing this post has also been a lesson for me as it led me to meditate on the book of Leviticus ( a book I conveniently tend to skip)

Yom Kippur was an important day for worship and national repentance. A day filled with so many mysterious allusions to the work our lord would take up in fulfilling the laws of the Old covenant.

My prayer for all who read this Blog is that :- May the healing power of our lord Jesus Christ fill you with such an infusion of faith and love for the Self less Atoning work taken up by our lord and may this faith and love overflow in all your interactions with his children all around you.

Carrying what you do not need to carry

Did you know that the first book that Jewish children studied in the synagogue was the book of Leviticus?

Leviticus 20:26 declares that God knows all about human brokenness and hurt. And his love reaches out and says to us, "You shall be whole; for I am whole. That is my purpose," he declares to his people.

We long to be whole people with all parts of our personality integrated and expressed.

"If I had my choice of all the blessings I can conceive of I would choose perfect conformity to the Lord Jesus, or, in one word, holiness." -Charles Spurgeon

Isaiah 53:3-4

Once every year, on the tenth day of the seventh month the high priest stood before god on the Day of Atonement or Yom Kippur.

The word Yom means "day" in Hebrew and Kippur comes from a root that means "to cover or hide". Yom Kippur was to be the Sabbath of Sabbaths. “It (Yom Kippur) is to be a Sabbath of solemn rest for you, that you may humble your souls; it is a permanent statue” (Lev. 16:31).

On this day the high priest stood before god. It was designed as a time of national fasting and repentance.

1. The HIGH PRIEST alone performed all the rituals within the tabernacle. He was entirely responsible for the Day of Atonement. He prepared for it a week in advance by studying the laws of the Day of Atonement. He stayed in the high priest chamber in the temple court.

2. Only on the Day of Atonement, the High priest was permitted to pass beyond the veil into the Holy of Holies.

And the Lord said to Moses, "Tell your brother Aaron that he shall not enter at any time into the holy place inside the veil, before the mercy seat which is on the ark, lest he die; for I will appear in the cloud over the mercy seat." (Leviticus 16:2).

3. The High priest would be would be clothed in simple linen. (Lev. 8:7; Ex. 28:33-35).

  1. The golden crown on his forehead.
  2. The breastplate on his heart.
  3. The outer robe decorated with pomegranates and bells (the people listened for the bells while the priest was in the Holy of Holies to be sure the priest was still alive).
  4. The apron or vest.
  5. Four white garments made from white flax.
  6. The belt.
  7. The turban.
  8. Pants
4. The High Priest first had to offer up a bull as atonement for his own sins and for those of his family. He would fill the censer with live coals from the altar, and then enter into the Holy of Holies, where he placed incense on the coals. The incense sent forth a cloud of smoke over the mercy seat, which served as a covering for the Ark of the Covenant. The high priest took some of the blood of the bullock and sprinkled it on the mercy seat and on the ground in front of the ark cleansing them from defilement.

The burnt offerings were: seven male lambs, each a year old, one young bull, and one ram. The sin offering was one male goat. Every step the priest took was precisely scripted. According to the Talmud he made forty-three trips between the court and sanctuary on this respected day.

5. Two identical goats in size, shape and color were then to be taken and presented before the Lord. Lots would be cast.

And Aaron shall cast lots for the two goats, one lot for the Lord, and the other lot for the scapegoat. Then Aaron shall offer the goat on which the lot for the Lord fell, and make it a sin offering.

But the goat on which the lot for the scapegoat fell shall be presented alive before the Lord, to make atonement upon it, to send it into the wilderness as the scapegoat. (Leviticus 16:8-10).

An eighteen inch red thread was then tied to the neck of the goat designated for the lord. This goat would be slain and offered as a burnt offering before the lord while the second goat would play an important role in carrying the sins of the nation.

Aaron was to take this goat and place BOTH his hands upon it as he confessed all of the sins of Israel.

Then Aaron shall lay both his hands on the head of the live goat, and confess over it all the iniquities of the sons of Israel, and all their transgressions in regard to all their sins; and he shall lay them on the head of the goat and send it away into the wilderness by the hand of a man who stands in readiness. (Leviticus 16:21).

After the ceremony a chosen man led the goat into the wilderness where it was eventually abandoned. A red thread was tied to the horns of the scapegoat in case it would later appear in a community in the wilderness. Anyone who saw the red thread on the goat’s head knew that they were to avoid contact with it.

Later a system developed wherein an appointed man led the goat with a rope around its neck outside the eastern gate across the mountains and into the wilderness. He eventually transferred the goat to another man who would run with the goat to a distant mountain and hand the goat to a third person. Miles outside the city of Jerusalem on a mountain called the mount of Azazel; the scapegoat carrying the sins of the nation was pushed off a cliff where it tumbled to a violent death hundreds of feet below. When this goat met its death, a crimson colored thread that had been nailed to the outside of the temple door supernaturally turned white. This was visible evidence to the priests, Levites, and Israelites that god had forgiven their sins. Isaiah may have been referring to this crimson thread when he wrote.

Isaiah 1:18

"Come now, let us reason together," says the LORD. "Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool. The death of the scapegoat assured the people that their sins were wiped clean.

This is why Isaiah penned these words being inspired from the lord.

Isaiah 43:25

"I, even I, am he who blots out your transgressions, for my own sake, and remembers your sins no more.

TWO GOATS AND THREE RED THREADS

The author draws a connection between the two goats and the three red threads.

The scarlet threads were placed in three locations:

the neck of one goat,
the right horn of another goat and
the temple door.

The three red threads are a visual image of the three persons on three crosses on the day of Christ’s crucifixion (John 19:18).

Unrepentant
The thief on one side died unrepentant thus carrying his sins to the grave. (Luke 23: 39-40). He represents the scapegoat that carried the sins into the wilderness where it met its death.

Christ
Jesus hung in the middle thus representing the goat for the lord which was slaughtered on the altar.

Conversion
The other thief was converted on the cross therefore his scarlet sins became white as snow. This thief’s conversion is represented by the red thread nailed to the wooden door of the temple that changed colors in the midst of the Yom Kippur ceremony.

The two goats had to be identical in size, color and shape. Christ was condemned to die but Barabbas a man who was guilty of a crime was released and set free (Matthew 27: 16-26). The Hebrew name of Jesus is Y’shuah.

According to an early church father, the actual name of Barabbas was Y’shuah. Both he and Christ had identical first names.

The name Barabbas comes from two words: Bar meaning son and Abbas meaning the exalted or high father. Jesus Christ was the exalted son of the heavenly father (Acts 2:33)

Numbers 4:2

"Take a census of the Kohathite branch of the Levites by their clans and families.--

My Little Diary

My little Diary

Time passes so quickly. Years fly bye. This New Year I decided to clean certain corners of the house which for some reason was kept for later year after year. As I was cleaning I discovered my old diaries.

From the time I came to the Lord I maintained a dairy detailing my walk with the Lord. Every vision every dream and Scripture verse. Even instruction/advice given by others. This was a piece of advice given to me my some one who was helping me to grow in the Lord.

In the Initial days at the end of the year I used to go through it and analyze and see how much I have grown and how much I have failed in my attempt. This helped me to put in more effort to change my weakness to strong points. Some how over the years I continued maintaining the diary but forgot to analyze.

As I went through everything I wrote I realized the following benefits.

1. I took certain decisions after prayer and confirmation. I soon got involved in the job and forgot that the Lord wanted me to do it. I got carried away by the storms and forgot the Lords promises. I was drawn to repentance.

2. My God is a man of words.. He warned me of some things but it took me some time to understand his messages. As I spent time with him I learned to be more alert to his voice and I did change in this area.

3. Over the years I had forgotten many of the blessings the Lord showered on me and only complained about what he has not done or delayed. When I went through the Diary I could praise him once again and was filled with joy and hope.

4. Some of the incidents showed how much I had grown and I could rejoice. After all I did climb the ladder with Jesus at my side. Oh Lord how could I even think I was alone and sit and pity myself.

5. By the time I reached the end of it I was filled with joy and hope as there are many promises to be fulfilled. Hopefully that fulfilling year is this year.

Oh Brothers and Sisters Rejoice Rejoice in the Lord Always.

Mary Did You Know?

Mary Did You Know
[Originally written by Mark Lowry and Buddy Greene]

Mary, did you know
that your Baby Boy would one day walk on water?

Mary, did you know
that your Baby Boy would save our sons and daughters?

Did you know
that your Baby Boy has come to make you new?

This Child that you delivered will soon deliver you.

Mary, did you know
that your Baby Boy will give sight to a blind man?

Mary, did you know
that your Baby Boy will calm the storm with His hand?

Did you know
that your Baby Boy has walked where angels trod?

When you kiss your little Baby you kissed the face of God?
Mary did you know..

The blind will see.
The deaf will hear.
The dead will live again.
The lame will leap.
The dumb will speak
The praises of The Lamb.

Mary, did you know
that your Baby Boy is Lord of all creation?

Mary, did you know
that your Baby Boy would one day rule the nations?

Did you know
that your Baby Boy is heaven's perfect Lamb?

The sleeping Child you're holding is the Great, I Am.

God's Covenant

For a long time now, I have been pondering over the impact the Lord’s Supper has on god’s people and the innate healing properties it holds for a complete restoration of a person.

In fact Healing of the Mind, Body and Soul is certain when one partakes of the meal in remembrance of the one who was a personification of Grace, mercy and compassion. During this period of contemplation, I was blessed to receive a copy of the book The MEAL that Heals by Pastor Perry Stone Jr.

In the next several posts, I'll be sharing the author’s insights from the book along with my thoughts. I hope whoever might read my blog will pick up this book at their local book store or library.
The author’s insights and applying them to your life is likely to increase the flow of blessing in your life manifold, healing you at all three levels . If you've read this book some time ago, I encourage you to share your insights with us. I pray that the atoning work which Christ began from the garden of Gethsemane to Golgotha the place of skull create in you a fountain of life.

May the blows our lord received soothe your physical injuries, bandage your emotional hurts and lead you to a greater spiritual union with the father.

Lord Our Protector

Lord God we look to you, our source of help at all times. You who made Heaven and earth, watch over us always. like a shepherd who guards his flock be our guard protecting us from unseen forces. You who laid down your life to save us, lead us to follow the plan of god in our lives. Make us to prosper and bear fruit according to your word.

Oh Lord we know that you have carved us on the palm of your hand and so no evil will befall us. Lead the way for us just the way you led the nation of Israel to the promised land. We believe that not a hair on our head will be touched without your permission.

Lord we ask you to sit at our right hand and look at us as a bridegroom looks at his beloved. We know that you never get tired looking at your creation.

Lord give us the desire to constantly look into your eyes.

Living Agape

How can we show love of the father in our life?

Love one another as I have loved you. Jn 13:34

We all like to be loved and get favors and blessing from the one who loves us. But do we like to love all around us like God loves us. Unconditional, ever forgiving love. Ready to lay down our life for others?

It is God"s commandment to love another. When we receive His love our cup gets full, but if we do not share what we get, since our cup is full, we stop receiving.

Ask your self. Do you go out of our way to help an old person to cross the road or be good to a person who slandered your name or magnified your weakness in public. A very difficult situation which I find myself in, time and again. The question we need to ask is What would Jesus do in this situation and then act accordingly.

As you have your prayer time do express your inability to love and your desire to want to. Ask for the grace. Gradually but surely the change will happen. You will be surprised at your self, for you begin to acquire the mind of Christ.

Prayer: Heavenly Father give us the grace to Love all those around us the way you would love them. Help us to be faithful to our prayer time so that we too will acquire the mind of Christ.
